Since its genesis Ochre Building Design Ltd has been commissioned for an extensive array of projects and consultancy including;

Commercial and Industrial

  • £2million project in the Lake District comprising the refurbishment of Grade 2 Listed barns and the replacement of existing barns to provide new business and commercial premises for employment regeneration in the area.

  • New livestock market at J36 of the M6 which is currently on site.

  • Carrying out the feasibility for the refurbishment and extension to a large automotive parts business in Accrington. This project is expected to develop into a complete design and contract administration role.

  • 34 bed nursing home in the Isle of Man for which we provided a full service through to completion and is now open and close to capacity.

  • Feasibilities for a number of other care homes both in England and the Isle of Man.

  • Internal refurbishment of a large hotel and casino.

  • Feasibility studies for new pavillions at the Royal Welsh Showground.

  • New supermarket developments.

Individual Homes and Estate Housing

  • Large house with special needs requirements providing a complete service from inception to completion including contract sum negotiations with a local construction company.

  • Provided Expert Witness services for a developer in Bolton regarding the professional conduct of the project designer. The case was subsequently settled in favour of our Client.

  • Continue to provide feasibility studies for various developers throughout the UK and Isle of Man.

  • Development for 94 dwellings in Little Lever on the site of a redundant mill bounded by the River Irwell and the Bury and Rochdale Canal. Currently awaiting outcome of planning application.

  • Development for 14 dwellings on a brownfield site in Blackburn.

  • Complete refurbishment and partial rebuild of a listed farmhouse carried out over several phases.

  • Extension containing hydrotherapy pool and associated changing and utility areas.

  • 33 bed apartment development behind a listed facade on the Douglas Promenade, Isle of Man.
